Enrich Excel with useful functions that are related to resource planning for calculating a forecast, staffing levels and for generating shifts and rosters.

EXCEL-FORECAST.

Excel-Forecast is accurate forecasting software for business planners. It is an Excel-plugin that takes historical volumes as input and generates an accurate forecast as output. Outliers are removed automatically. Patterns in the data such as seasonal patterns, holidays, trends and trend breaks are detected automatically and extrapolated into future. It is possible to overrule patterns that were calculated automatically. The software is easy to integrate in any sheet.

The methodology is derived from statistical algorithms from academic literature and the first version was developed at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Our efforts have improved the forecast accuracy over years such that it outperforms standard methods. In addition, feedback from our clients helped and helps us to improve the software continuously. Many of our clients found out that manual interventions were no longer needed such that forecasting became an automated process.

EXCEL-ERLANG.

Excel-Erlang is an Excel plugin that contains the Erlang-C, Erlang-X, and Erlang-B formula. The Erlang-C model predicts the required number of call-center agents, their occupancy level, and the average waiting time given a certain call offer.

The Erlang-X formula is an extension of the Erlang-C formula. Call abandonment and redials are included in the model such that a higher accuracy is obtained. CCMATH is the only seller of Erlang-X world wide. The professor that composed the formula is working at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and is partner in CCMATH.

EXCEL-SHIFT-SCHEDULING.

Excel-Shift-Scheduling is an Excel plugin that generates a shift combination for employees such that service-level targets are met. The input consists of a daily workload pattern and shift rules.

The module also contains a function that directly takes staffing levels as input.
